I own an old Bessie Pease Guttman print. “A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN”. All in capitals . Signed, thin glass, foxed dull paper, good colour. Framed in Liverpool in the 1920s.
Any idea of an asking price please?

I just came across a vintage Pease print (litho?) at an auction. It’s entitled ‘Home Builders’ & I can’t find any information about it. Any ideas?
    Thank you.

During a home renovation, we came upon a framed Bessie Pease Gutmann matte print in our attic. The print is simply of a young woman’s face, no background. It almost looks incomplete as compared to Gutmann’s other works. No title, year or copyright appears on the print. Rather, the faded signature appears in front of what looks like a birthday cake. Any ideas where we can find more about this? (I cannot find a copy of Bessie Pease Gutmann: Her Life and Works in a library near me and I cannot find anything that resembles this print online.)

I just discovered the title to be “Sweet Sixteen” as evidenced by the birthday cake signature block. Thought you might be interested in the link below in case this question comes your way again.
